Description

The Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Turbo Adapter (ver II) from Mitakon allows  lenses to be mounted to Sony E-Mount APS-C format cameras, increasing the angle of view by 0.726x and the maximum aperture of the lens by 1 f-stop.

The four optical elements of the Lens Turbo adapter condense light from full frame lens and project it onto the camera’s APS-C sensor allowing the sensor to capture all of the lens’ transmitted light, negating the 1.5x crop factor and effectively producing full-frame coverage on non-full-frame sensors. A corresponding increase in the maximum aperture of 1 f-stop makes the lens more effective in low-light situations.

The Lens Turbo features an improved design to produce sharper images. Its rectangular rear lens rests closer to the camera’s sensor improving light transmission and an enhanced lens coating minimizes ghosting and flare. One extra-low dispersion (ED) lens element reduces aberrations for better delineated images. The adapter offers a sturdy metal construction and stainless steel mounts, it attaches to both camera and lens with little play and includes a front and rear protective cap. The Lens Turbo is a manual adapter offering no electronic communication between lens and camera.

The Lens Turbo adapters are compatible with APS-C sized sensors. Although they will physically fit the Sony full frame mirrorless cameras, the camera must be set to Crop Mode to fully support the speed booster’s functions.

  • Allows  lens to be mounted to Sony E-Mount (NEX) camera
  • Increases the angle of view by 0.726
  • Increases maximum aperture by 1 stop
  • 4 lens elements in 4 groups including 1 extra-low dispersion element
  • Optimized lens coating to reduce ghosting and flare and improve over-all image quality

Please note that this lens turbo is designed for Sony APS-C cameras with Sony E-Mount.

This lens turbo adaptor may not fit all lenses due to different extensions at the lens rear mount. Lenses with extension more than 3mm are not recommended to use this lens turbo adaptor.

Vignetting may occur if using APS-C lenses. We do not accept return due to the incompatibility with your lenses.

This adapter does NOT fit Sony Video Camcorders.

  1. Hi there… Just bought the FD Lens Turbo II from you and I’m experiencing some issues with it… First; can’t use the aperture rig, I’m using a canon 35-70mm 3.5, a canon 50mm 1.8, a Vivitar 80-200mm 4.5, and a Sigma XQ 120-300 5.6; all lens are FD… Please I’ll appreciate if you can give me some advice to properly use your adapter, I’m mounting it in a Sony A6000.

By some reason the lens is too open when I’m attached to the Camera, (really blow up in day or sunny days)

    Thanks again!

    • Hi Dan, There is no aperture ring on the FD lens turbo. The ring on the adapter is a LOCKING ring which allows you to mount the turbo onto the camera body. Please follow the instructions on the manual for proper installation.

  2. Thanks for your answer; I’d been trying all the manual says, the problem is the same, I can’t change the aperture in the FD lens, when I install the lens to the Turbo I still having the same open aperture… by some reason can’t use large or small apertures. Thanks again for your patience and support.

    • Hi Dan, Because this adapter does NOT have aperture ring, the aperture has to be change by adjusting the aperture ring on your LENS.

  3. I wondering the same thing, how can you control the aperture of your lens?

    • Hi Sir, You will have to adjust the aperture by using the aperture ring on your lens. THanks

  4. Is there any version of this that does control the aperture ring on a Nikon G lens? if not, do you guys have any plans to make one?

  5. Yes it works.

  6. Does it work on a Sony a7II?

    • Sorry it does not work in FF body like sony a72

  7. Will your adapter work on the new Sony A6300 ? The sensor size on the camera is APS-C.

    • It should work but we will test it once its out.

  8. Hi there- Does it work on the new a6500? Thanks,

    • Yes it does.

  9. Does the adapter Not Work on an A7rII in APC-mode (cropped)?

    • It works in cropped mode in A7.
